If you have any questions or suggestions about how we can improve our cardboard operation, please don’t hesitate to get in touch:
Email: neil@stronsaydevelopmenttrust.com
Phone: 01857 616410
Clean, dry cardboard free from tape can be left in the bins outside of Unit2.
If you have a large amount of cardboard to drop off, the office is manned on Mondays between 9:00 and 11:00.
Otherwise please contact Neil to arrange a time for drop off..
Neil's working days are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 - 18:30
🚫Tetra Pak® Recycling
Please note that we’re unable to recycle Tetra Pak® cartons or similar drinks packaging in our cardboard briquette machine. The cartons are typically made up of 70% paperboard, 25% plastic and 5% aluminium.
As of March 2025, Orkney Islands Council no longer accepts Tetra Pak® for recycling due to “the high costs incurred.”
🔥New Reusable Log Sacks
We’re introducing smaller, reusable net sacks containing 10 logs each - a more manageable option if, like me, your back isn’t what it once was! Logs are still available by the box (30).
Prices:
Box of 30 logs - £7
Net sack of 10 logs - £2.50 or 3 for £7
🪵Where to buy
Boxes of logs can be bought from Ebenezer Stores or from Woods Yard.
If the office and recycling centre is closed, boxes can be picked up from the Woods Yard office porch. Either leave payment in the post-box or scan the QR code on the office door to pay online.
